Help With Rodin Coil Winding - JoeLag - 10-25-2023 Good day folks. I got these templates for a frame to hold a rodin coil. But i'm not sure how to wind it. Anyone here with experience with this. It seems that there are many designs online when I do a photo search! Here are the photos of the pieces. And this is what it's supposed to look like complete. RE: Help With Rodin Coil Winding - tachyoncatcher - 10-29-2023 Hey Joel, It looks like they did a bifilar winding without litz, multiple times over the former. The winding pattern is to drop to the second notch, per segment. That is a nice former. When I did it, I used a plastic doughnut from a toy and toothpicks. Bifilar without litz is only a shortcut to filling the former quicker. To magnify the magnetics for the same wire spent, use litz. |
