Once you balance core/windings/gauge/magnets(gap)/wheel(or solid state)
once ALL of that is optimized, then do this one wire move...

currently in your schematic, the primary + is connected to the charging -
disconnect the charging - and move it to connect with the primary -

So, the charging - and the primary - are connected to each other and the charging - is not connected to anything else.
If the charging battery voltage is lower than the primary, you will need a diode between the two.

you will not see much difference if any, if your system is NOT in balance as noted above. If your magnets are two big or to small and draining the battery, if you have too many windings or your core is too big or your wire too thin, you will not see a difference etc...
While it's easier to get a solid state in balance, the difference of this one wire move is much more dramatic on the wheel due to the magneto effect.
@Min2oly, it might be more useful to say how to balance, what to measure on each component or state relationship between components, eventually a formula if you have one

Balance core/windings/gauge/magnets/gap/wheel

"formula"... JB never even produced a formula... lol

Use his schematics, magnets, core material, wheel size, magnets, magnet spacing, wire gauge. try to use all the same components. If anyone tries anything different, good luck... but it is fun experimenting :-)
